Mission
Statement
To
better our community and support our youth, we believe in commitment
and
service. We Serve, We Advance, We Grow”, is our motto.
These
values are ingrained in each of us through our individual and
collective
life experience. As adults and parents, we model our behaviors
and
actives to reflect these values for our youth in an attempt to pass on
this attitude and spirit of service to the next generation. To
this
extent our volunteerism significantly improves the quality of life for
future generations and ourselves. Our members serve as positive
examples
for our youth. It is our belief that financial assistance, in
addition
to positive reinforcement, continued mentoring and networking
opportunities,
would provide greater incentive for SIS scholarship Awardees to
accomplish
their educational goals.
Purpose
With
the cost of higher education rising, and the availability of funds
diminishing,
the Ladies of Sister’s In Service (“SIS”) have recognized an
opportunity
to lend assistance. It is our endeavor to provide resources to young
people
who are reaching towards higher educational goals. Our organization was
conceived to provide current Colorado residents ages 17 to 23, with
financial
assistance towards higher education. These expenses must be related to
a college, trade school, or university located within the state of
Colorado.
The
Ladies of ‘SIS’ are bound together in effort, thought, and deed towards
a common goal. We believe in leading by example in our community
service
projects, uplifting young people by rendering service wherever needed,
in addition to assisting them to attain higher educational goals.
Volunteers and Sponsors of
Sister’s
In Service ( SIS)

providing
developmental skills Training through mentoring in addition to securing
much needed financial assistance in an economically challenged
environment,
is based solely on the efforts of it members and volunteers and
achieved
